Obituary of Debbie Williams

Funeral services for Debbie Williams, 46, ,a former resident of Bastrop, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 6,2004, at the Golden Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Charles Dupree and Jim Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the Canaan Cemetery in Union Parish under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Ms. Williams died Friday, April 2,2004, in Smyrna,Georgia. Debbie, a Bastrop Highschool graduate and former member of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church, had worked here in Bastrop as a Nurses Aid for Summerlin Lane Nursing Home before moving to Smyrna, Georgia in 1998 where she was employed as a Postal Clerk. She is survived by her mother, Eolian Williams of Marietta, GA; two sisters, Vickie Stringer of Lufkin,TX, Naomi Theriot of Kennesaw,GA; three nieces, two nephews, six great nieces and one great nephew. Ms. Williams was a member of Roswell Street Baptist Church. Her family has request that memorial contributions be made to: Roswell Street Baptist Church, attn: Building Fund, 774 Roswell St., Marietta, GA 30064 or Cobb Street Ministries, 1750 Powder Springs Rd., Suite 190, PO Box 378,Marietta,GA 300064. Visitation will be held Monday, April 5,2004, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
