Obituary of Edward Rodkey

Funeral services for Edward H. Rodkey, age 91, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday December 17, 2004 at the Golden Funeral Home chapel with Rev. David Doiron officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday at Goldens from 6-8 p.m. Mr. Rodkey, a former coal miner and retired employee of General Motors, died December 12, 2004.
He is survived by his wife, Edna B. Rodkey; two daughters, Carolyn Turney & husband Preston of Shreveport, Deanna Sheley & husband Leslie of Bastrop; son, Larry L. Rodkey & wife Jaynell of Durant, OK; four grandchildren, Lisa Waters, Stephen Turney, Brian Sheley & wife Michelle, Edward Rodkey; three great grandchildren, Michael Russell, Sarah Russell, Kristen Turney; two step-grandchildren, Bruce Knipe, Cynthia Hemesley & husband Paul; three step-great grandchildren, Christy Knipe, Jason Hemesley, Nicholas Hemesley.
He is preceded in death by a son, Clark Lynn Rodkey; sister, Margaret Woodall; brother, Thomas Rodkey.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Turney, Brian Sheley, Jason Hemesley, Nicholas Hemesley, Bruce Knipe and Paul Hemesley.
