Obituary of Dennis Keith Aswell

Funeral services for Mr. Dennis Keith Aswell, age 49, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 19, 2011, at First Assembly of God with Rev. Jeff Willis and Rev. John Martins officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Aswell, a resident of Bastrop, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2011. Mr. Aswell was a member of First Assembly of God Church. He loved his grandchildren, fishing, gardening, and horses. Memorial contributions may be made to First Assembly of God. Mr. Aswell is preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Gloria Aswell; brother, Tommy Aswell; and mother-in-law, Martha Sue Brown Lowe. Serving as pallbearers will be Monty Shockey, Zach Kitchens, Johnny Moreland, Doug Brown, Isaac Smith, and Dipak Patel. Mr. Aswell is survived by his wife, Robbin Brown Aswell; three sons, Jason Aswell and wife Annie, Dennis Aswell II (D.K.) and wife Aimee, Dustin Aswell and wife Dana; grandchildren, Alana Brooke Deshazo, Logan Aswell, Arabella Aswell; step-grandchildren, Jaden Fussell, Desha and Shey Hamilton; Father and mother-in-law, George and Wanda Brown; sister, Judy Jones and husband Douglas; sister-in-laws, Kay Graves, Paige Smith and husband Isaac; brother-in-laws, Allen Brown and wife Mary, James Brown and wife Sissy, Drew Kyle and wife Jessie, Michael Kyle, Benji Kyle and wife Wendy; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Saturday at Golden Funeral Home.
