Funeral services for Buford L. "Butch" Lucas, 85, of Collinston, La. have been scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, December 23, 2004 at the Golden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George Roberson officiating. Commital services will follow in Carter Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. Lucas, was retired from the ASCS office, was a local farmer and businessman and he also served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Gertrude Lucas; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Mr. Lucas is preceded in death by his parents, William and Dolly Lucas, three brothers and one sister.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Bobby Dale Kelly, Ray Chilton, Tommy Rankin, Michael Davis, John Carter and Chris Carter.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Rayford Harkness, Bill Norsworthy, Rector Hopgood and Harry Mayo.
Visitation is planned for 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2004 at Golden Funeral Home.
