Funeral services for William E. Miles, 80, of Horseshoe Lake Community, Mer Rouge, will be Monday, December 27, 2004, at 10 AM at Golden Funeral Home chapel, with Rev. Francis Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park in Monroe.
Mr. Miles, a retired electrician for Riverwood International, died Tuesday, December 21, at North Monroe Hospital, and was a veteran of WWII, having served in the U.S. Army. He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty A. Miles.
Mr. Miles is survived by: 2 daughters, Linda Miles Votaw & husband Floyd Votaw, Jr. of Mer Rouge, Ebbie Ann Moody & husband Gerald D. Moody, Jr. of Castle Rock, CO; a son, James A. Miles & wife Karen of Snohomish, WA; a sister, Mae Longoria of Porter, TX; a brother, Willie A. Miles of Porter, TX; two grandchildren, Gerald D. Moody III, Kimberly Moody Kirschmer; two step grandchildren, Toby Ray, Danna Fife; five great grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be; Floyd Votaw, Jr., Willie A. Miles, Richard Longoria, Sr., Richard Longoria, Jr., James Flores, & Kevin Smith. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Michael Longoria.
Visitation will be from 5-9 PM, Sunday, December 26, 2004 at Golden Funeral Home.
