Funeral services for Mary Christine Ellis Bostick Boone, 85, of Bastrop, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at Central Church of Christ in Bastrop with Mr. Waymon Swain, Dr. L.H. McCollough and Mr. Phillip Ray Bostick, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Rayville Masonic Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, July 4, 2011 at Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Boone, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away Saturday, July 2, 2011. She was a long-time member of Central Church of Christ and loved her church family dearly.
Mrs. Boone was preceded in death by her late husband, Phillip Ray Bostick; parents, Frank and Bertie Ellis; sister, Lillian McVay; brothers, June, Charles, James, Thomas, Sonny, and Oliver "Friday" Ellis; and grandson, Charles "Buck" Bostick.
Mrs. Boone is survived by her loving husband, David Boone; two brothers, Huey Ellis and wife Leota, Joe Ellis and wife Jan; five children, Charles Bostick, Vera Kelly and husband Woodrow, Phil Bostick and wife Glenda, Laurie Merritt and husband John, Sherry Johnson; eleven grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.
