Graveside services for Mrs. Rachel Johnston, age 88, a resident of Jonesboro, LA, formerly of Bastrop, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Mr. Jerry Spikes officiating.
Mrs. Johnston, a retired nurse, passed away Monday, January 3, 2011 at Forest Haven Nursing Home in Jonesboro.
She is survived by two sons, Charles Johnston and wife Jan of Pensacola, FL, Raymond E. Johnston and wife Carolyn of Jonesboro, LA; sister, Dorcas Reeves of Camden, AR; three grandchildren, Terrell Johnston Olivier and husband Lou, Raymond A. Johnston and wife Misty, Marty Johnston and wife Stacie; seven grandchildren, Tyler, Brandi, Taylor, Joey, Ian, Gabriella, Nick and four great great grandchildren, Kaytlin, Holden, Carson and Alli.
Mrs. Johnston is preceded in death by her husband, Doris M. Johnston; parents, Rev. and Mrs. Frank Weaver; brother, Charles Weaver and granddaughter, Jacque Beebe.
