Obituary of Maurice Brown

Graveside funeral services for Maurice Allen Brown, age 77, are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Sunday January 9, 2005 at Causey Cemetery with Rev. Kirby Caple officiating. Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. Sunday at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Brown died January 5, 2005 at Providence Hospital in Mobile, AL. Mr. Brown was a native of Hebert, LA and longtime resident of Mobile, AL. He retired July 1, 1985 from International Paper Company. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, having served aboard the U.S.S. Minneapolis. He was a member of Mt. Gerezim Masonic Lodge # 54 F&AM in Bastrop. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dorris B. Brown of Mobile, AL; children, James Allen Brown and wife Patricia of White Hall, AR and Patricia Peacock of McGehee, AR; sister, Pearl Noland of Sterlington; Odis Brown and wife Bonnie of Columbia; four grandchildren, Beth Patterson, James Peacock, both of McGehee, AR, Greg Russell of Pine Bluff, AR, Michelle Campbell of White Hall, AR; six great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home in Mobile, AL on Friday evening from 5-8 p.m.
