Obituary of Max Hale

Funeral services for Mr. Max Hale, 67, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2011 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Alan Eppinette and Rev. Dale Jordan officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 5:30 - 9 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. Hale, a retired shipyard employee, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Morehouse General Hospital. He was a resident of Bastrop and a member of Bonita Road Baptist Church. Mr. Hale was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the Mt. Gerzim Masonic Lodge.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Fronie Hale; brothers, Ronald, twins Elton and Felton, Arnold, Thomas, and Kenneth.
Mr. Hale is survived by his wife, Julie D. Hale; daughter, Jana Osgood and husband Michael of Bastrop, LA; son, Shane Hale and wife Becky of Bastrop, LA; three sisters, Ettawaine Lee of Dawson, IA, twin sister Maxine Case of Bastrop, LA, Judy Thompson of Bastrop, LA; brother, Lavell Hale of Higginsville, MO; and four grandchildren, Harley Osgood and fiance Stephanie Murray, Ian Osgood, Michaela Hale, and Logan Hale.
Serving as pallbearers will be Harley Osgood, Ian Osgood, Jay Holton, David Hale, Donald Hale, and Mark Stephens. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Stephens and Dale Hindman.
