Funeral services for Mrs. Wylma E. Pardue Guy, 87, of Bastrop are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2007 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Post officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday from 1 p.m. until service time. Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2007 in Red Lick Cemetery, Leary, Texas under the direction of Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Guy was born in Athens, Louisiana but she also lived in Monticello, AR, Sulphur Springs, TX and Tulsa, OK. She had been a resident of the Arbor/ Terrace of Bastrop since 2001.
Mrs. Guy, a member of Bethel Baptist Church, passed away Friday, June 15, 2007 at The Terrace of Bastrop. She was a dental assistant & hygienist, a real estate agent, a licensed florist, and an accomplished oil landscape artist.
She is survived by a daughter, Tani Guy Brown and husband Larry D. of Colorado Springs, CO; son, Baylor C. Guy and wife Paula Ann of Pine Bluff, AR; two sisters, Eleanor Pardue King of Hot Springs, AR, Stella Guy Chapman of Shreveport, LA; grandchildren, Lesli D. Brown of San Diego, CA, James Guy of Magnolia, AR, Josh Guy of Pine Bluff, AR, Cole Guy of Pine Bluff, AR, Anna-Grace Guy of Pine Bluff, AR, Sadie-Blue Guy of Pine Bluff, AR and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Guy is preceded in death by her parents, Cleaton M. and Olive Hays Pardue; five brothers and sisters, Travis Pardue, Dera Davidson, Myra Pardue, McKenzie Pardue, Willard Pardue and husband, Herschel N. Guy.
