Obituary of Roy C. Daniel

Funeral services for Mr. Roy C. Daniel, age 92, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday March 27, 2007, at Cherry Ridge Baptist Church, Bastrop, LA, with Rev. Cal Adams officiating. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 5-8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home, Bastrop, LA. A graveside service for Mr. Daniel will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday March 28, 2007, at Forrest Park Cemetery in Forrest City, AR. Mr. Daniel, a retired roofing contractor, passed away Sunday March 25, 2007. He was a resident of Bastrop, LA, and formerly resided in Joiner, AR, and Forrest City, AR. He was a member of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church, a member of the Masonic Lodge since 1953, and was an avid bowler. He is preceded in death by wives, Ada Lea Daniels, Avis Bates Daniel; parents, James & Fannie Daniel; three brothers, Thurston Daniel, Ivan Daniel, Hubert Daniel; two sisters, Thelma McGaugh, Ruby Taylor. He is survived by his son, Curtis Daniels & wife Donice of Forrest City, AR; two daughters, Aletta Stull & husband Terry of Senatobia, MS, Judy Smith & husband Bob of Senatobia, MS; step-children, Sue Lyles & husband Don of Bastrop, LA, Eugene Bates & wife Brenda of Roswell, GA; nine grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; numerous nieces & nephews.
