Funeral services for Mrs. Margie Beach, age 75, will be held 10 a.m. Friday, August 19, 2011, at Cherry Ridge Baptist Church with Bro. Tim Post officiating. Interment will follow at Lone Cherry Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Thursday at Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Beach, a resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2011 at University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. She was a retired nurse and a member of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church and the Eastern Star, Mer Rouge Chapter 148. She loved her church and often helped in the kitchen preparing food for church events. She served others by helping the sick and could often be heard humming songs.
She is preceded in death by parents, Arthur and Flora McDaniel, sisters, Gladys Davis and Gertrude McDaniel; brother, Sydney "Dick" McDaniel; and grandson, Tylan Beach.
Mrs. Beach is survived by her husband, Tim Beach of Bastrop, LA; three daughters, Cheryl Armstrong and husband Freddy of Rocky Branch, LA, Patsy Beach of Bastrop, LA, Annie Barfield of Monroe, LA; three sons, Johnny Beach and wife Merrie Kay of Delhi, LA, Gary Beach and wife Carolyn of Bastrop, LA, Michael Beach and wife Melanie of Bastrop, LA; eighteen grandchildren, Margie Albritton, Freddy Armstrong, Janis Shelburne, Scott Beach, Jennifer Garner, Justin Beach, Joshua Beach, Kelli Beach, Brandon Beach, Zach Beach, Josh Barfield, Bridget Barfield, Chris Blake, R.W. Comans, Tim Comans, Jonathan Beach, Erica Hale, Terrell Martin; ten great grandchildren; two brothers, Everette McDaniel and wife Faye of Beekman, LA, Jerry McDaniel and wife Bonnie of Colfax, LA; and special aunt, Juanita "Baby Sister" Harrison.
Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons, Freddy Armstrong, Scott Beach, Justin Beach, Joshua Beach, Brandon Beach, Zach Beach, Josh Barfield, Chris Blake, R.W. Comans, Tim Comans, Jonathan Beach, and Terrell Martin. Honorary pallbearers are Chris McDaniel, Glenn McDaniel, Larry Davis, Jerry Paul McDaniel, John McDaniel,Eric McDaniel and Danny Davis.
