Obituary of Joicy "Joyce" Keen

Funeral services for Mrs. Joicy "Joyce" A. Keen, 92, of Bastrop, LA, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, June 25, 2007 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff May officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Keen, a homemaker, member of White Avenue Baptist Church and the Sunny South Order of the Eastern Star, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2007 at Morehouse General Hospital. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great and great great grandmother who will be truly missed. She is survived by two daughters, Nell Harvey of Bastrop, LA, Bonnie Keen of Farmerville, LA; sister, Althea Basham of Bay Springs, MS; six grandchildren, Larry Harvey, Allen Harvey, David Entrican, Sandra Stallings, Amy Turnbow and Darren Adams; eleven great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Keen is preceded in death by her husband Carlis Keen; four brothers and three sisters. Serving as pallbearers will be members of the Mt. Gerizim Masonic Lodge #54. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 2007 at Golden Funeral Home.
