Obituary of Ancil David Carroll

Funeral services for Mr. Ancil David Carroll, age 77, of Bastrop will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 3, 2005 at the Golden Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Waymon Swain officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 2, 2005 from 5:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. Mr. Carroll, also known as the "Cricket Man" was retired from International Paper Company and sold fish bait from his home for 35 years. He was also a member of the Central Church of Christ and served his country in the United States Army. He is survived by his wife, Lois Carroll; daughter, Vickie C. Sartor and her husband Clay of West Monroe, LA; three sons, Michael Carroll and wife Sherry of Monroe, LA, David Carroll of Bastrop, LA and Charles Carroll and wife Barbara of Swartz, LA; six sisters, Katie Mae Glass of Rayville, LA, Dollie Tony and husband Cletus of Baytown, TX, Bessie Norman and husband Doug of Bastrop, LA, Mary D. Fife and husband Luther of Junction City, AR, Lois Cunningham of Winnsboro, LA and Bonnie Winn and husband Don of Rayville, LA; three brothers, Henry Lee Carroll and wife Diane of Atlanta, GA, Walter Lee Carroll and wife Doris of Savannah, GA and Lit Carroll and wife Mildred of Rayville, LA; Nine grandchildren, Timothy Carroll, DeEtt McClary and husband Jason, Kary Carroll and wife Cindy, Natasha Robertson and husband Beau, Damon Wade Carroll and wife Kim, Nathan Carroll, Cody Carroll, Lisa McMillan and husband Chad and Dustin J. Posey; six great grandchildren, Dakota Carroll, Zachary Carroll, Dylan Carroll, Austin Carroll, Chandler Hall and Chaz McMillan.
