A memorial service celebrating the life of Mr. John David Ryan will be held 11 a.m. Saturday August 27, 2011 at Reily Memorial United Methodist Church in Collinston, LA with Rev. Henry Stone officiating. A time of visitation will be held following the service.
Mr. Ryan, a resident of Bastrop, LA, formerly of Stockton, MO, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2011 in Jackson, MS at the VA Hospital. He was a retired employee of Brown & Root of Houston, TX, and was co-owner of Ann's Antiques in Mer Rouge, LA. He was an avid car collector. He collected old, new, classic, and antique cars; it was a lifetime hobby for him. Mr. Ryan was a veteran of the Korean War and worked as a civilian contractor in Vietnam during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife Ann Chavers Ryan; two daughters, Beth Trigg & husband Larry, Karla White & husband Dustin; granddaughter, Miss Mallory White; step-daughter, Toni Williams, all of Missouri; step-son, Phillip Wilcox of Denver, CO; five grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Kinnaird, Kenneth Cupples, Charles Wright, Ralph Little, George Clark, and Lloyd Blocker.
