Obituary of Loula Beatrice Arant

Funeral services for Loula Beatrice Reynolds Arant, 85, a resident of Bastrop, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, April 19,2004 at the Golden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Dupree officiating. Mrs. Arant died Saturday, April 17,2004 at Morehouse General Hospital. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Arant, a homemaker and member of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church was a faithful wife and mother who gave of herself unselfishly for her family. She worked tirelessly in her church by providing music, teaching classes, and keeping records until her health would not permit her to do so.
She is survived by three daughters, Phyllis Willeen Arant Hotard of Mer Rouge, LA, Mary Louise Arant Hodge and husband Michael Wayne of Mer Rouge, LA and Wilma Ann Arant and husband Dallas Ray Manning of Swartz, LA; one brother, R.D. Reynolds of Atlanta,TX and one granddaughter, Amy Michelle Hodge Slocum and husband Kenneth of Bastrop, LA.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William Rudolph "Big 6" Arant and five brothers.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Deville, Kenneth Slocum, Richard Roy Byrd, Todd Byrd, Bill Stewart and Billy Reynolds.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dallas Manning, Mike Hodge,and James M. Crawford.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 18,2004 at Golden Funeral Home.
The family has requested that memorials may be made to the ARC of Morehouse.
