Obituary of Agnes Bryan Davis

Funeral services for Mrs. Agnes Bryan Davis, age 89, are scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2011 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Dr. L.H. McCollough and Bro. Tim Post officiating. Interment will follow in Stevenson Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 1:00 - 3:30 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Bryan, a resident of Bastrop, passed away Monday, January 3, 2011. She was a retired firetower watch person with the Louisiana Forestry Commission. Mrs. Bryan was a member of Beekman Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by two husbands, Robert Calvin Bryan and Melton Davis; parents, Lee Stevenson and Alberta Brunt Stevenson; step-mother, Emma Stevenson; two brothers, Robert Stevenson, Thomas Stevenson; sister, Opal Owens; daughter-in-law, Elaine Towns Bryan; and son-in-law, Andrew D. Arthur, Jr. Mrs. Bryan is survived by her daughter, Connie Arthur of Bastrop, LA; three sons, Bobby Bryan and wife Pat of Midland, TX, Glen Bryan and special friend Nellie May of Bastrop, LA, Dexter Bryan and wife Mary of Bastrop, LA; sister, Jessie Whitehead Bryan and husband Marshall of Bastrop, LA; thirteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Bryan, Michael Bryan, Todd Bryan, Troy McLarrin, Greg Letterino, and Andy McKenney. Mrs. Bryan's family would like to extend their thanks and gratitude to the staff of Cherry Ridge Guest Care for the care shown to their loved one.
