Funeral services for Glen Eubanks, 80, of Monroe, formerly of Bastrop,will be held Saturday, February 19, 2005 at Golden Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 am, with the Revs. Cecil Gregory and William Fowler officiating. Interment will follow at Christ Church Cemetery.
Mr. Eubanks, a retired Stauffer Chemical Employee, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2005 at the Northeast Louisiana War Veteran's Home in Monroe, LA. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the U.S. Navy, and also a member of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church in Bastrop, serving as a deacon.
Mr. Eubanks is survived by his wife Ida Rose Terrell Eubanks of Bastrop; 3 daughters, Rosie Lockwood & husband Mike of Dadeville, AL, Nancy Fowler & husband Sherieal of Bastrop, Linda Wells & husband Stephen of Brandon, MS; a sister, Bernice Case of Woodward, OK; 2 grandchildren, Chris Robinson & wife Judy of Russellville, AR, & Dana Harrison & husband Brad of Bastrop; numerous nieces & nephews.
Mr. Eubanks is preceded in death by his parents, 6 sisters, 3 brothers, and a son William Glen Eubanks.
Pallbearers will be the deacons of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Spikes, M.O. Porter, Dr. Carter Cox, Goleman Moore, and members of the Men's 3 Sunday School Class of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Friday, February 18, 2005 at Golden Funeral Home from 5 - 8pm.
