Funeral services for Mary Ellen Cooper, 75, of Bastrop, are scheduled for 2 PM Thursday, February 24, 2005, at Golden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Pat Guice officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Cooper, a homemaker, died Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
Mrs. Cooper is survived by her husband of 57 1/2 years, Frank Cooper; 2 sons, Bobby Cooper, Sr. & wife Carol Jean of Bastrop, Tommy Cooper & wife Carmen of Bastrop; sister, Grace Kralik of Edmond, OK; 3 brothers, Marion Cannon of Oklahoma City, OK, Franklin Cannon of Edmond, OK, Austin Cannon of Oklahoma City, OK; 7 grandchildren, Sean Cooper & wife Tabitha, Lisa Faulkenbury & husband Vince, Bobby Cooper II & wife Jacquelyne, Dawn Gilbreath & husband Brandon, Tamatha Sanders & husband Jason, Tommy Cooper II, Trevor Cooper; 9 great grandchildren, Michael Cooper, Robin Cooper, Andrew Cooper, Christian Cooper, Riley Faulkenbury, Karlie Faulkenbury, Jabe Gilbreath, Gracie Gilbreath, and Jaislyn Sanders.
Pallbearers will be Sean Cooper, Bobby Cooper II, Tommy Cooper II, Brandon Gilbreath, Vince Faulkenbury, and Toby Guice.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 23, 2005 from 5 - 9 PM at Golden Funeral Home.
