Patricia Jenelle "Jan" Caraway, born January 7, 1958, was called home on July 6, 2007 at the age of 49. Jan had been employed with the Morehouse Parish School Board for the past eight years as a teacher at South Side Elementary. She is preceded in death by husband, Jimmie Neal Davis, Jr., and step-father, Thomas A. Duchesne, Sr.
She is survived by her husband, Danny Caraway of Bastrop, LA; one son, Jimmie Neal Davis III and wife Lucinda of Seminary, MS; two daughters, Jennifer Davis Jackson and husband Mickey of Seminary, MS, and Julia Green and husband Burt of Farmerville, LA; one grandson, Mikey Jackson; one granddaughter, Cameron Jackson; grandson-to-be, Neal Davis; moma, Shirley Duchesne of Monroe, LA; daddy, Paul Smith and wife Alma of Lafayette, TN; four sisters and six brothers, Donna Owens and husband Chris of Bastrop, LA, Kay Hollis and fiance` Clee Tillman of Rocky Branch, LA, Sharon Gwaltney of Lafayette, TN, Beth Smith of Lafayette, TN, Randy Smith and wife Rita of Oak Grove, TN, Billy Smith and wife Bethany of Lafayette, TN, Tommy Duchesne and wife Michelle of Monroe, LA, Eddie Ray and wife Vickie of Shelbyville, TN, Brad Ray and wife Mandy of Portland, TN, William Ray and wife Darlene of Winnfield, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services for Jan have been scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday July 10, 2007 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with her brother Eddie Ray officiating. Interment will follow in Hall Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday evening at Golden Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mickey Jackson, Mikey Jackson, Derek "B.D." Jackson, Clay Hollis, Clint Hollis, Chris Owens, Joey Stanga, Charlie Sokovitch, and Larry Bennett.
