Obituary of Ossie A. Simmons Riles

Funeral services for Ossie A. Simmons Riles, age 90, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday March 21, 2007, at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmie Herring officiating. Interment will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5-9 at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Riles, a homemaker, passed away Sunday March 18, 2007. She was a resident of Bastrop and a member of Greenacres Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Green Thomas & Millie Clark Simmons; husband, Lavell S. Riles; daughter, Helen Carol Riles; son, James Allen Riles; sister, Essie Byrd; brothers, A.V. Simmons, Oscar Simmons. She is survived by three daughters, Frances Mooneyham of Montgomery, AL, Dorothy Schaller & husband Jerry of DeRidder, LA, Joy Copeland & husband Boyce of Bastrop, LA; son, W.T. Riles of Bastrop; sister, Bernice Whittington of Magnolia, AR; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
