Obituary of Paul Coray Blood

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Paul Coray Blood, age 76, of Jonesboro, LA are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2011, at Union Baptist Church Cemetery (Quitman) with Bro. Doug Hughes officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. Blood, a retired employee of Stone Container (Hodge), a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and member of the Baptist faith, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2011 at his residence. He was an excellent painter and enjoyed painting landscape scenery from childhood memories. He also loved music and played several instruments.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Mary Culver Blood; son, Randy Coray Vaughn of Oklahoma City, OK; sister, Dorothy Williams of Bastrop, LA; two grandchildren, Brandy and Jennifer; step-son, Chris Willis and wife Ginger of Ruston, LA; step-daughter, Kami Turner and husband Mickey of Farmerville, LA; six step-grandchildren, Heather Hall, Kevin Hall, Dusty Hall, Kristi Willis, Sabrin Willis, Zoey Turner; step-great granddaughter, Haley Hall; sister in-law, Nelda Culver and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Blood is preceded in death by his parents, George and Lucy Launey Blood, eleven brothers and sisters and a step-daughter, Misty Willis Hall.
