Obituary of Lillian Rushing

Funeral services for Mrs. Lillian Mae Shuff Rushing, 92, of Bastrop are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2007 at Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Louis Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Musgrove Cemetery. Mrs. Rushing, a homemaker and member of Riverside Baptist Church, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2007 . She was a member of the Morehouse Council on Aging for more than twenty-five years and she also participated in the Senior Olympics for several years. She is survived by two daughters, Lola Raley of Bastrop, LA, Shirley Rushing of Marshall, TX; a son, Ellis Manford Rushing and wife Judy of Calhoun, LA; two sisters, Avis Armstrong and husband Charlie of Winnsboro, LA, Maud Gray of Alexandria, LA; sister-in-law, Violet Shuff of Baton Rouge, LA; brother, Luther Shuff and wife Agnes of Baton Rouge, LA; fifteen grandchildren and twenty four great grandchildren. Mrs. Rushing is preceded in death by her husband, Manford George Rushing; daughter, Maxine Rushing; parents, Joseph and Clement Shuff and several brothers and sisters. Pallbearers will be Jason Raley, Neal Raley, Terrell Dopson, David Griffith, David Marshall and Bret Sullivan. Visitation will be held Friday, July 13, 2007 from 10 a.m. until service time at Golden Funeral Home.
