Obituary of Joseph Curtis Nall

Funeral services for Joseph Curtis Nall, age 19, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 27, 2011 in the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Kyle Peters officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Nall, a resident of Bastrop, passed away Monday October 24, 2011 at his residence. Joseph was a member of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church, was in the High School Band in the percussion section, a member of the ROTC, and a graduate of 2011. Joseph loved working on his truck, spending time with his family, brother and cousins. He had a big heart and enjoyed helping others in need, and he was comical, making it his personal goal to make others laugh. He would make your gray, cloudy day seem sunshiny and new. Joseph is preceded in death by his great grandparents, Robert and Velma Stout, Boots and Josephine Bagwell; and a grandmother, Theresa B. Gilmore. Joseph is survived by his parents, Jennifer Nall Bourgeois of Bastrop, LA, James Cecil Nall II and wife Karen of Bastrop, LA; grandparents, Buddy and Gloria Nall of Bastrop, LA; grandmother, Barbara Kegebein; one brother, James Auldon Nall of Bastrop, LA; two uncles, Richard David Gilmore II, Pete Nall; aunt, Tina Jett; and cousins, Richard David Gilmore III, Lynnzee Nicole Gilmore, and Briannia Alecia Gilmore. Serving as pallbearers will be Chance Crymes, Chase Warren, Richard Gilmore, Pete Nall, Buddy Nall, and Charlie Wilson. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jamey Nall, David Gilmore, and John Fife.
