Funeral services for John H. Eubanks, 90, of Bastrop, will be 2 PM, Monday, March 7, 2005 at Golden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bo Horne officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Eubanks, a retired chemist of 36 years for the Louisiana Mill of International Paper Company, died Saturday, March 5, 2005, at his residence. He was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church and a veteran of WWII having served with the U.S. Marine Corps in the South Pacific.
Mr. Eubanks is survived by his wife of 60 years, Kathleen Nobles Eubanks; 2 sons, Ronald Eubanks & wife Paulette of Bastrop, Wendell Eubanks & wife Susan of West Monroe, LA; 2 sisters-in-law, Betty Eubanks of Monroe, Margie Eubanks of New Orleans, LA; 4 grandchildren, Will Eubanks of Monroe, Robert Eubanks of El Dorado, AR, Erin Eubanks of West Monroe, LA, Hope Harper of Monroe; 2 great grandchildren, Tyler & Allison Evans of Monroe.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers, and 1 sister.
Pallbearers will be Robert Eubanks, Will Eubanks, James Hendrix,Sr., Thomas Hendrix, Sr., Brian Nobles, and Todd Nobles. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Danny Hollis.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 6, 2005 from 4-9 PM at the funeral home.
