Funeral services for Mr. Robert Sidney Faller, 85, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2007 at the First Church of God with Rev. Dalyn Helbling officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Faller, a retired fruit and vegetable inspector for the Federal State Inspection Service and owner of Hammond Feed and Seed, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2007 in West Monroe, LA. He was a member of the First Church of God, served as grandmaster of the Masonic Lodge in Independence, LA, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Oak Ridge. Mr. Faller served his country for six years as a chief capenter's mate in the United States Navy during WWII. He is survived by four stepsons, Jerald "Stumpy" and wife Brenda Brodnax Roan of Crossett, AR, Joseph Allan "Joe" and wife Ann Garrett Roan of Bastrop, LA, James Ray "Jimmy" and wife Rose Gates Roan of Crossett, AR, John Thomas "Doodle" Roan of Jonesboro, LA; stepdaughter, Joyce Ann Roan of Fayetteville, AR; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; and four nieces and five nephews. Mr. Faller is preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Mirabella Roan Faller; parents, G.C. and Emma Faller; seven brothers; two sisters; and one niece. Serving as pallbearers are Russell Evans, Dan Faller, John Mark Dietle, Jeff Roan, Joe Michael Roan, and Bruce Cook. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Roan, Cody Hines, Donnie Hines, and Gregory Stephens. Visitation will be held Thursday, July, 19, 2007 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Memorial comtributions may be made to the First Church of God in Bastrop, LA.
