Obituary of Thomas Harrison Osborne

Graveside services for Mr. Thomas Harrison Osborne, age 81, will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday, November 25, 2011 at Pine Grove South Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Hackler officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 12 noon Friday at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Osborne, a resident of Sterlington, LA, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Osborne was employed at the Thermatomic Carbon Plant for 27 years, and the Town of Sterlington for 10 years. Mr. Osborne was born July 9, 1930 in Delhi, LA. Mr. Osborne is a member of First Baptist Church of Sterlington. He loved to hunt, fish, trap and passed all of his wonderful stories on his children, grand children and great grand children. Mr. Osborne is preceded in death by a grandson, Gabriel Wimbish; two sisters, Melvie Parker, Ida Howell; three brothers, Randolf Osborne, J.C. Osborne, Hub Osborne; and parents, John and Ida Osborne. Mr. Osborne is survived by his wife of 61 years, Bobbie Osborne, three children, Harry Osborne and wife Sandra of Eudora, AR, Susan Axton and husband Ronnie of Bastrop, Lisa Bonner and husband Barry of Sterlington; eight grand kids; and sixteen great grand kids. Serving as pallbearers will be Barry Bonner, Ronnie Axton, Josh Bonner, Brad Osborne, Zack Wimbish, and Bronson Bonner.
