Obituary of Irene Weems Pylant Jordan

Funeral services for Irene Weems Pylant Jordan, age 92, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 2007 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Mr. Waymon Swain officiating. Interment will follow in Crowville Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday evening at Golden Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m.
Mrs. Jordan, a resident of Bastrop, passed away July 25, 2007 at Morehouse General Hospital. She was a retired assistant nutritionist from Summerlin Lane Nursing Home and a member of Bastrop Church of Christ.
She is preceded in death by husbands, Wilburn Pylant and Harold Jordan; son, Wilburn Eugene Pylant; and three sisters, Dorothy, Ada, and Bobbie.
Mrs. Jordan is survived by grandchildren, Debbie Pylant of Monroe, Sherry Morrison of Birmingham, AL; great granddaughter, Madison Marie David of Monroe; daughter-in-law, Doris Pylant of Bastrop; sisters, Myrtis Farmer of Monroe, Lois Smith of Rayville, Jay Griffin of Crowville, Marie Bonner of Pineville, Jeanette Monroe of Epps, Lettie "Cooter" Monroe of Delhi; brothers, E.W. "Junior" Weems of Monroe and Jack Weems of Texas.
