Graveside funeral services for Mr. Richard Whitaker, 53, of Little Rock, Arkansas, formerly of Bastrop are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, August 2, 2007 at Carter Cemetery with Pastor John Collard officiating.
Mr. Whitaker, a retired iron worker, passed away Monday, July 30, 2007 at his residence.
He is survived by his wife Karen St.John Whitaker; father, Charles Whitaker and wife Martha; three daughters, Tammy Ball and husband Eddie, Michelle DeSoto and husband Thomas, Sarah Whitaker; six sons, Chuck Whitaker and wife Nekia, Eric Whitaker and wife Jamie, Jason Whitaker, Johnathan Whitaker, Steve Poole, Rick Poole; sister, LaJane Vinson; two brothers, Dennis Whitaker, Mark Whitaker and several grandchildren.
Mr. Whitaker is preceded in death by his mother, Wanda L. Whitaker.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 12 noon on Thursday, August 2, 2007 at Golden Funeral Home.
