Obituary of M. L. Thomas

Funeral services for Mr. M. L. Thomas, 64, of Mer Rouge LA are scheduled for 2 PM Friday, August 3, 2007 at Horseshoe Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby O'Fallon officiating. Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Thomas, a retired employee from the Morehouse Parish Highway Department and member of Horseshoe Baptist Church, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2007. He was an avid gardner and loved to fish. Mr. Thomas also served in the United States Air Force. He is survived by his wife, Mittie Thomas; two daughters, Kim Harris and husband Steve of Bastrop, LA, Gale Womack and husband Andy of Oak Grove, LA; son, Keith Thomas and wife Bobbie Lynn of Mer Rouge, LA; three sisters, Elma Dean Barham and husband Theodore of Oak Ridge, LA, Barbara Faye Byrd of Mer Rouge, LA, Shirley White of Mer Rouge, LA; brother, Herbert G. Thomas and wife Charlotte of Mer Rouge, LA; four grandchildren, Cole Harris, Kristen Womack, Calob Brown and Joshua Thomas. Mr. Tomas is preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Jettie Rae Thomas. Serving as pallbearers will be Joshua Thomas, Calob Brown, Cole Harris, Don White, Tommy Barham, Steve Thomas, David Thomas and David Jester. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Harris and Andy Womack. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 2, 2007 from 6 PM until 9 PM at Horseshoe Baptist Church.
