Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Hubbard Moore

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth "Libba" Hubbard Moore, 69, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, August 5, 2007 at Bethel Baptist Church with Revs. Wesley Bennett, Michael Chain, Tim Post and Dr. Phil Sigman officiating. Interment will follow in the Beekman Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Moore, a retired school teacher, member, church treasurer and 4th-6th grade sunday school teacher at Bethel Baptist Church passed away Friday, August 3, 2007 at Saint Francis North Hospital. She was an avid bird watcher - loved the outdoors and her Arabian horses. Mrs. Moore was a graduate of Lamar University in Beaumont, TX. She worked as a supervisor in the piping industry and taught in the Devers school district. She also was commissioner in charge of the election polls in Morehouse Parish. Mrs. Moore is survived by her husband, Charles W. Moore; daughter, Sylvia Hebert and husband Keith of Port Arthur, TX; son, Wayne Moore and wife Regina of Liberty, TX; two sisters, JoAnn Norsworthy of Bastrop, LA, Muriel Hayes of TX; two grandchildren, Dawn Hebert, Brandon Hebert; five step grandchildren, Michael Hebert, Jason Curry, Stephanie Barnett, April Curry, Elizabeth Curry and seven step great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, O.E. Hubbard and Margueritte Aycock; grandparents, Luther and Mary Day, John and Molly Hubbard. Serving as pallbearers are: Julian Gordon, Johnny Hughes, Craig Oliphant, Dexter Bryan, Harry Acker, Buddy Richards, Kevin Chain and Alton Williams Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Saturday, August 4, 2007 at Bethel Baptist Church.
