Graveside funeral services for Vesta Cobb Shipley are scheduled for Tuesday May 4, 2004, at 2:30 p.m. at Christ Church Cemetery with Dr. Thomas K. Reinowski officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 1-2 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Ms. Shipley, age 95, a homemaker and resident of Bastrop, died May 1, 2004, at Summerlin Lane Nursing Home. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Bastrop.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Rose Higginbotham and Martha Jean Cobb both of Bastrop; two grandsons, Jamie Higginbotham of Metairie and Randy Higginbotham of New Orleans; three great grandchildren, Kellen Higginbotham, Douglas Higginbotham, and Harris Higginbotham; and several nieces and nephews.
