Obituary of Ada Annie Lee Davis

Funeral services for Mrs. Ada Annie Lee Davis, age 79, of Bastrop are scheduled for 10 AM Monday, January 2, 2012 in the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Hankins officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Davis, a homemaker and member of Antioch Baptist Church, passed away Friday, December 30, 2011 at Cherry Ridge Guest Care. She was an avid gardner and could make anything grow. Mrs. Davis loved to sew and diligently served others. She was awarded the End of the Year award for Community Service.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence H. Davis; daughters, Ann Lowery and husband Charles, Cynthia Courson and husband Jackie and Bessie Davis, all of Bastrop; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Mrs. Davis is preceded in death by her daughter, Cathy Ellen Davis; granddaughter, Lisa Marie Carney; parents, Wesley and Bessie Taylor; one brother; and four sisters.
Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons Jackie Lowery, Robert West, Jeremy Bridges, Keith Riles, Lee Fortune, and Ashton Fortune. Honorary pallbearers will be great grandsons Logan Mock and Jude Eppinette.
Visitation will be held Sunday, January 1, 2012 from 5 PM - 8 PM at Golden Funeral Home.
