Funeral services for Ruby J. Oliver, age 75, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, August 11, 2007 at First Assembly of God with Rev. Annie Mae Farmer and Rev. J.E. Allen officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Oliver, a resident of Bastrop, passed away Thursday August 9, 2007. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 5-9 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
She was a homemaker and a member of First Assembly of God. She is preceded in death by her son, Rev. James Phillip Oliver; grandson, Joseph Michael Oliver; parents, Arthur & Annie Lou Gray; and brother, Alvin Gray.
She is survived by her husband, Rev. David H. Oliver; three sons, David M. Oliver & wife Brenda of Bastrop, Timothy D. Oliver of Bastrop, Mark S. Oliver & wife Melissa of Bossier City; two sisters, Sally Evants & husband C.J. of Wynn, AR, Gwen Reddoch & husband David of North Little Rock, AR; two brothers, Howard Lee Gray & wife Loretta of Waxahachie, TX, James Gray of Hazen, AR; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Nelson Jones, Roger Gray, Terry Weems, Tom Forrester, Jerry Reynolds, and Jerry Moore.
