Obituary of Willie Jones

Funeral service for Willie Earl Jones, 82, of Bastrop, have been scheduled for 10 AM Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at Central Church of Christ with Mr. Joe Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Jones, a retired lab chemist from International Paper Company , died Saturday, April 2, 2005 at Morehouse General Hospital. He was a member of Central Church of Christ and a United States Army veteran of WW II. Mr. Jones is survived by a son, Ralph Jones and his wife Rhonda of Bastrop; sister, Helen Tilbury of Atlanta, GA; brother, James Jones and his wife Maurice of Pine Bluff, AR; two grandchildren, Renee Townsend and her husband Borden, Bridgette Hightower and her husband Eric; five great grandchildren, Alexis Townsend, Aaron Townsend, Trenton Hightower, Baylie Hightower, and Riley Hightower. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dannie Lee Jones; parents, John Britton Jones and Marie Jones; and brother Carl Jones. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Worley, Coleman Spann, Gary Freeman, Mike Forney, James Sliger and Melvin Eubanks. Visitation will be Monday, April 4, 2005 from 5 PM until 7 PM at Golden Funeral Home.
