Funeral services for Margie Priest Hairston, 85, formerly of Bastrop, LA have been scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2005 at First Baptist Church with Dr. L.H. McCollough officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hairston passed away, Friday, April, 8, 2005 at the Whispering Pines Nursing Home in Plain Dealing, LA.
She was a member of Bastrop's First Baptist Church and enjoyed participating as a church chior member before leaving Bastrop.
Mrs. Hairston is survived by two daughters, Suzanne Hairston Stack of Plano, TX, Jeanne Hairston McLeod and husband Robert C. of Plano, TX; son, Aubry Dwain Hairston, Jr. and wife Pam of Bossier City, LA; brother, K.C. Priest of Bastrop, LA; five grandchildren, Shari Stack, Sara Bradley, Brooke McLeod, Matthew McLeod, Nicole Hairston; five great grandchildren, Oliver Heaviside, John Owen Bradley, Grace Bradley, Erica Marie Garrett and Evan Michael Garrett.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Dwain Hairston, Sr.; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Marie Hairston, sister, Lois Priest Freeland and a brother, Lloyd Priest.
Pallbearers are: Lee Mc Intyre, Ken Priest, Matthew McLeod, Dr. Ed Hobbs, Wayne Goyne and Lamar Belin.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2005 at Golden Funeral Home.
