Funeral services for Bernice Polk Mayo, 81, of Bastrop, will be 2 PM Tuesday, April 12, 2005 at Golden Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Scott Petrus officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Ms. Mayo, a homemaker, died Sunday, April 10, 2005 at Summerlin Lane Nursing Home. She is preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Mayo, Sr.; daughter, Shirley Kelley; parents, Homer and Nellie Polk; and a brother, Walter Polk.
Ms. Mayo is survived by a son, Jimmy (Bo) Mayo, Jr. & wife Judy of Hooks, TX; daughter, Barbara (Bobbie) Robinson & husband Eugene of Morrilton, AR; sister, G.V. Hopkins & husband W.L. of Bastrop; brother, Dean Polk & wife Mildred of Bastrop; 2 grandchildren, Tami Reynolds & husband Allen, and Wade Kelley; 2 great grandchildren, Kelbie & Ashlie Reynolds; and by a special neice Kathy Hopkins.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, April 11, 2005 from 5 - 8 PM at Goldens.
