Obituary of Alice Eldridge Norman

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Alice Eldridge Norman, 83, of Linville, LA, formerly of Bastrop, have been scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, April 15, 2005 at Carter Cemetery with Rev. Don Reeves officiating. Mrs. Norman, a homemaker and member of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2005 at Union General Hospital. She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Cook of Linville, LA; a son, Roy Vernon Norman, Jr. and wife Gale of Pocatello, ID; three grandchildren, Jody Cook and wife Dori of Rocky Branch, LA, Maureen McDonald of Pocatello, ID, Rick Morrell and wife Elizabeth of Michigan and eight great grandchildren, Logan and Josh McDonald, Remington Cook, Christen, Erin, Bobbi Jo, Alexander and Austin Morrell. Mrs. Norman is preceded in death by her parents, Torris and Ida Eldridge and a brother, Torris "Sonny" Eldridge, Jr. Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Kelly, Jody Cook, Mark Coleman, Brad Tucker, Scott Coleman and Chris Coleman. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday, April 14, 2005 at Golden Funeral Home. The family requests that all memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
