Obituary of Harry "Bo" Porter

Graveside funeral services for Harry "Bo" Porter, 73, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at Christ Church Cemetery with Rev. David Chapman officiating. Mr. Porter, a retired Captain with the Bastrop Fire Department volunteered his time coaching in city Summer Baseball Recreation Programs such as Dixie Baseball, Pony League Baseball and American Legion Summer Baseball for over 30 years. He passed away Monday, April 18, 2005 at St. Francis Hospital in Monroe, LA. He is survived by his wife, Norma Porter; daughter, Karen Whitlock and husband Roger of West Monroe, LA.; two sons, Randy Porter and wife Paula of Monroe,LA, Charles Porter and wife Kim of Bastrop, LA; sister, Willie Ann "Billie" Boyd and husband Billy of Bastrop, LA; eight grandchildren, Nikki, Erika, Whit, Holly, Bo, Staci, Justin, Ashlie; and fifteen great grandchildren. Mr. Porter is preceded in death by his parents, Emery and Azeal Porter; brother, David Porter; two sisters, Nadine Bray and Donna Griffis. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Golden Funeral Home.
