Funeral services for Mr. Toby Dwain Adams, age 36, of Bastrop, LA, are scheduled for 2 P.M. Monday, March 5, 2012 at Golden Funeral Home with Revs. Kevin Sanders and Will Lambert officiating. Interment will follow in Harris Cemetery, Bastrop, under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. at Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. Adams, a manager for Johnny's Pizza and member of Fairbanks Baptist Church, passed away Friday March 2, 2012. He was notorious for his sense of humor and remained extremely brave throughout his life-long battle with lupus.
He is survived by his parents, Woodrow "Bud" Adams and Wanda McCready Adams of Bastrop; maternal grandmother, Edna McCready of Bastrop; brother, Chip Adams of Bastrop; nieces, Courtney Adams Burney and husband Steven of West Monroe, LA, Mallory Adams of Wichita Falls, TX; great nephew, Cayden Burney of West Monroe, LA; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Mr. Adams is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Ila Mae Stringer Adams Laing, paternal grandfather, Woodrow Wilson Adams, Sr., maternal grandfather, David Earl McCready, paternal uncle, Richard Adams.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. John Hull and Dr. Emile Barrow.
Serving as pallbearers will be Steven Dickman, Lee Jacks, Chad Fields, Justin Perritt, Nick Fontana, and Toby Paxton.
Serving as honorary pallbearer is Tim Moore.
