Funeral services for Lucille Francis, age 79, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday April 30, 2005 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Allan Eppinette officiating. Burial will follow in Carter Cemetery. Mrs. Francis, a resident of Collinston, formerly of Bakersfield, CA, passed away April 28, 2005 at Morehouse General Hospital. Visitation will be held Saturday at Goldens from 9 a.m. until service time. Mrs. Francis was born in Corcoran, CA. She was a member of Collinston First Baptist Church, member of the VFW Ladies Auxillary, and a charter member of the Triad of Morehouse Parish Sheriffs Office. She is survived by her children, Janice & Jimmy Fontenot of Lafayette, LA, and Judy & Jerry Hilton of Collinston, LA; sister, Ann Summerhill of Calhoun, LA; grandchildren, Lisa & Austin Lynch, Craig & Erin Fontenot, Thomas Hilton and Jerri Lynn & Travis Smith; great grandchildren, Aiden Fontenot, Tucker Lynch and Ariel Smith; special nieces & nephews, Tom & Judy Summerhill and Betty June & Royce Howell. She is preceded in death by her husband, Nyal Francis; parents, Thomas & Nettie McMillan; two brothers, Otis McMillan and R.C. "Mack" McMillan; brother-in-law, Merrill Summerhill. Serving as pallbearers will be Craig Fontenot, Thomas Hilton, Clarence Fontenot, Ray Chilton, John Fontenot and David Crymes. Honorary pallbearers will be Thomas J. Hilton, Jr., Claude Mann, June White, Dr. Robert Lyon, Dr. Raj Bhandari, and Dr. Marshall Leary. Memorial contributions may be made to the Morehouse Cancer Fund.
