Obituary of Jane Ann Ward

Funeral services for Mrs. Jane Ann Ward, age 73, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Kyle Peters officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Ward, a resident of Bastrop, a retired Respiratory Therapist at Morehouse General Hospital, and a beautician, passed away Sunday April 8, 2012 in Monroe, LA. Mrs. Ward was a member of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church. She loved her grandkids, loved to fish, and loved working in her yard. Mrs. Ward was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ward; parents, Joe Dave Robinson and Mary Robinson; and five sisters, Eva Robinson, Marilyn Robinson Millholland, Judy Vining, Betty Mills and Georgia Cooper. Mrs. Ward is survived by one daughter, Deanna Laing and Bruce Davidson of West Monroe, LA; one sister, Mary Wilson of Crossett, AR; one brother, Simon D. Robinson of Crossett, AR; one granddaughter, Christy Little and husband Tommie of Sterlington, LA; one grandson, Josh Laing and wife Nicki of West Monroe, LA; five great grandchildren, Dillon Goodwin, Ainslee Little, Brock Laing, Emma Laing and Deuce Laing; God Child, Stephanie Harris; and Special Friend, Ruth Jenkins. Serving as pallbearers will be Terry Mills, Mike Mills, Joe Wilson, Greg Cooper, Corky Cooper, and Josh Laing. Honorary pallbearer will be Dillon Goodwin. Memorial contributions may be made to Cherry Ridge Baptist Church or St. Jude Children's Hospital. The Family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday at Golden Funeral Home.
