Obituary of Mary Ridge

Funeral services for Mary "Susie" McDuffie Ridge are scheduled for 2 PM Sunday, May 8, 2005 at Golden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff May officiating. Interment will follow at Carter Cemetery, Collinston, LA. Susie Ridge passed away Thursday, May 5, 2005 at her home among family and friends from a short term illness at the age of 47. She was born September 5, 1957. Mrs. Ridge was a cashier at Bastrop Super Foods. She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Hughie "Speck" McDuffie Sr. and Lillie Pearl Fulmer McDuffie and her sister Donna Gayl McDuffie Oser. She is survived by her husband,William "Bill" Ridge Sr.; her son, William Ridge Jr.; one brother, Hughie "Bubba" McDuffie Jr. and wife Tammy; one sister, JoAnn McDuffie Johnson and husband Matthew, six nieces and nephews, Lillie Johnson White, Shane Johnson, Terry Johnson, Amy Oser Reed, Hughie McDuffie III, GiGi McDuffie; eight great nieces and nephews; Nicholas White, Samantha White, Krista White, Tori Johnson, Damian Daigle, Derek Johnson, Jachob Reed and Izack Reed. Pallbearers will be Shane Johnson, Terry Johnson, Hughie McDuffie III, Steve Hebert, Ricky Evans and David Evans. Honorary pallbearers will be Esther Woodall, Judy Evans, Shirley Williams, Brenda Harris, Gloria Myrick, Kathy McDonald, Bastrop Super Foods employees and employees of Sav U Mor Grocery Store. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, May 7, 2005 from 5 PM until 9 PM at Golden Funeral Home.
