Obituary of Kathleen "Kay" Kelly Moorer

A Funeral Service for the life of Kay K. Moorer will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 3, 2012 in the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Henry Stone and Rev. Ramon Warren officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 2 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Kay was born October 12, 1942 in Bastrop and passed away April 30, 2012 in Shreveport after a brief illness. Kay was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a member of the UMW Circle I. She was also a member of the Potpourri. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kathleen Carpenter and T.P. Kelly. Kay is survived by her husband, Earl R. Moorer of 49 years; her sisters, Ann Eikert and husband Martin, Sue Kelly all of Bastrop, LA; her brother, Tom Kelly and wife Debbie of Germantown, TN; one niece, Kathleen Leigh Adams and husband Jeremy of Bastrop, LA; one nephew, Michael Kelly of Germantown, TN; one great niece, Isabella Adams; numerous cousins; and extended family and friends. Pallbearers are Mike Wooden, Phil Carpenter, Jeremy Adams, Daniel Harris, Royce Stephenson and Bob White. Memorial contributions can be made to the First United Methodist Church or a charity of your choice.
