A memorial service for Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Volk McDougle, age 82, is scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday May 18, 2005 at First Presbyterian Church in Bastrop with Rev. Thomas K. Reinowski and Rev. Hugh Yates officiating. Mrs. McDougle , a resident of Bastrop, passed away Friday 13, 2005 at Morehouse General Hospital.
Mrs. McDougle was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Bastrop, a retired teacher of the Morehouse Parish School System and a member of the Retired Teacher's Association of Morehouse Parish.
She is survived by her husband, Homer McDougle of Bastrop; daughter, Mary Cecilia Grobe of Bastrop; step-daughter, Rosie Aline Waltman of Bastrop; step-son, Homer McDougle, Jr. of Anacoco, LA; sister, Lily Day of McComb, MS; six step grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her son, William C. "Buddy" Grobe III; sister & brother in law, Launa Volk Reach & husband Van; brother in law, Ray L. Davis.
