Funeral services for Mary Mae Atkinson, 75, of Bastrop, will be Thursday, May 19, 2005 at 11 AM at Golden Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Huey Hughes officiating. Interment will follow at Christ Church Cemetery.
Ms. Atkinson, a homemaker, died Tuesday, May 17, 2005 at Morehouse General Hospital. She was a member of the Jehovah's Witness faith.
Ms. Atkinson is preceded in death by her parents, Morris & Nellie Mae Atkinson; grandparents, Charles T. & Mary Serena Wilson; and by a cousin, Barbara George.
She is survived by several cousins, Elsie and Linda Honeycutt both of Baton Rouge; Charles Hugh Wilson & wife Solveig of Buford, GA; Charles Frederick Brulte & wife Eunice of Chino Valley, AZ; Don Brulte of Texas; Walter Grimes Minyard, Jr. of Royal, AR; William Bailey Minyard & wife Carolyn of Conway, AR; Mrs. James O. Mardis "Suzanne" of Vencennis, IN; Romona M. Holcomb & husband Bill of Lake Charles; Robert George of Bastrop; a special companion, Forrest Harlen of Bastrop; and several other family members.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 19, 2005 from 9-11 AM at Goldens.
