Obituary of William Clyde Corley

Funeral services for William Clyde Corley, age 103, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday May 24, 2005 at the First United Methodist Church in Bastrop with Rev. Roy Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Christ Church Cemetery. Mr. Corley, a retired service manager for Stephenson Chevrolet and a resident of Bastrop, passed away Sunday May 22, 2005. Mr. Corley was a member of First United Methodist Church and Mt. Gerezim Masonic Lodge. Visitation will be held Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. He is survived by two daughters, Carolyn C. Williams & husband Robert and Marilyn C. Hill, both of Bastrop; daughter-in-law, Joyce C. Corley of Bastrop; eight grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Helen R. Corley; son, Billy Corley; grandson, Richard Hill; and son-in-law, Carroll O. Hill. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family would like to thank Mr. Corley's special friends: Louise Blocker, Dena Hawthorne, Mary Sanders, Carra Duncan and Sue Robinson.
