Graveside services for Earl W. Shumaker, age 82, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, October 6, 2007 at Parks Cemetery, Sterlington, LA with Rev. William Fowler officiating. Visitation will be held Friday 12-5 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m.- noon at Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. Shumaker, a resident of El Dorado, AR, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2007. He was an owner and operator of a salvage yard. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of the American Legion.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Bertha Mae Shumaker; and former wife, Helen White.
He is survived by two daughters, Laura Jean Nichols of Little Rock, AR, Dawanna Jean White of West Monroe, LA; two sons, Kenneth Earl Ivey of Calhoun, LA, Jimmy Takewell of Jackson, MS; two step-daughters, Donna Sims of Calhoun, LA, Dianah Maza of West Monroe, LA; step-son, David Ivey of Little Rock, AR; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
