Funeral services for Mrs. Henrietta Kruithof Day, 80, of Bastrop are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 5, 2007 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Chad Ballard officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Day, a retired school teacher of 43 years and member of Greenacres Baptist Church for 56 years, passed away Monday, October 1, 2007 in Mesa Verde, CO. She was a member of the Morehouse Retired Teachers Association and the Morehouse Volunteers for Family and Community.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Williams and husband Terry of Bastrop, LA, Debbie Reynolds and husband Dennis of Baton Rouge, LA; three sisters, Grietje Hester of Bossier City, LA, Tommie Gray of DeRidder, LA, Mary Ann Mathis of Bryant, AR; one brother, Johnny Kruithof and wife Elizabeth of Bossier City, LA; grandchildren, Kristie Beassie and husband Stacey, Matt Brown, both of Baton Rouge, LA, step-granddaughter, Crystal Reynolds of Baton Rouge, LA; great grandchildren, Blaize Brown and Hunter Brown, both of Johnson City, TN, and Clay Beassie of Baton Rouge, LA.
Mrs. Day is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Day; sister, Nell Skinner and two brothers, Jerry and Neal Kruithof.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 4, 2007 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
