Funeral services for Mr. Joseph Callendar, 80, of Bastrop are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Revs. Carl Wilson, Jr., Doug Edwards and Mr. Danny Courson officiating. Interment will follow in Tillou Cemetery.
Mr. Callendar , a retired painter and member of Tillou Baptist Church, passed away Sunday, October 7, 2007 at Morehouse General Hospital.
He is survived by his wife Ida Callendar; daughters, Shari Buffington and fiance' Terry Sawyer, Donna Cox and husband Johnny; sons, John Stephenson and wife Pam, Richard Stephenson and wife Bonnie, Billy Stephenson and wife Jennifer; mother-in law, Bertie Wilson; sisters-in-law, Patsy White, Faye Welch, Linda Wilson; brothers-in-law, George Wilson and wife Becky, Charles Wilson and wife Lynn, Dale Wilson and wife Helen; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; special friends, Dennis and Kay Kelly, Floyd Tomboli and Dr. John Coats.
Pallbearers will be: Jay Burnham, Stephen Burnham, Dennis Kelly, Adam Moore, Curtis Stephenson, Floyd Tomboli, Michael Morris and John Eric Stephenson.
Visitation will be held Monday, October 8, 2007 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to: Tillou Baptist Church Building Fund.
